Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti signed an agreement on Thursday to allow the American International Development Financial Corporation (DFC) to offer financing in Kosovo.
The agreement was also signed by US Ambassador Philip Kosnett.
DFC Regional Director John Jovanovic said at the signing that the agreement reinforces US commitment to expanding financial instruments available for the Kosovo economy, especially the private sector. He said that the DFC has great potential in terms of mobilizing investments which open new jobs and support sustainable development in Kosovo.
Under US laws, agreements on stimulating investments so that the DFC can provide financial instruments which include debt financing, capital investments, insurance from political risks and technical aid grants.
