It said that the procedure starts with the publication of proposed rules on the minimum conditions for individual licenses based on a public bidding and public consultations.

“Once the public consultations are completed, the final version of the proposed rulebook will be prepared and published, after which the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL) will conduct the public bidding procedure for the allocation of radio frequency bands required for the introduction of next-generation mobile networks,” the press release said.

It added that the ministry expects RATEL to complete the procedure by mid-2025.
