
The Traffic Safety Agency said on Friday that 187 people were killed in traffic accidents in Serbia this year, about a third of them over the age of 65. Pročitaj više
According to the Agency, 68 of those were over the age of 65. “The number of elderly killed in traffic accidents rose by 36 percent this year,” it said and added that 70 percent of them died on bicycles. Most of the elderly died in traffic between 5 and 8 pm, it said.
The Agency said the elderly need to be more careful in general and especially in conditions of lower visibility when driving, riding bicycles or crossing streets.
