Parliament in Pristina said "yes" to the agrrement on border demarcation with neighbouring Montenegro eyeing free visa regime

Kosovo parliament ratified the law on agreement on border demarcation with the neighbouring Montenegro with 80 „yes” votes.

The voting came after several interruptions of the legislative work becaue some deputies threw tear gas during the session of 120-strong parliament.

Following the tear gas explosions, Kosovo police detained two deputies from the Self-determination Movement which strongly opposes the agreement claiming Kosovo gave up a part of its territory. Earlier, six members of the Movement were expelled from the session.

The ratification is highly important for Kosovo since it is said to be the main condition for Pristina to get free visa regime granted.
