Charges filed over death threats against politician

Saša Janković, the leader of the Movement of Free Citizens political organization, filed charges over death threats against him.  

Speaking after he reported the threats to the Higher Public Prosecutor in Belgrade, Janković said they were caused by the premeditated and systematic demonization of political opponents by “the regime’s tabloid propaganda and top state officials”.  

Janković said he named several people and media which “drew targets” on political opponents, adding that he did not file charges against anyone making the threats but against the people in power who are encouraging violence.
