Government adopts railway laws

The Serbian government adopted three draft laws aimed at opening the market and improving the safety and development of railways.

The laws on the railways, security of railways and interoperability of the railway system regulate infrastructure management, operations, licencing, prices and services, safety and access to the entire European rail network.

The government said the laws were adopted as part of the process of harmonizing Serbian legislature with the European Union acqui communitaire.
