Serbian official Đurić in Kosovo for Easter

Marko Đurić, the head of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo, said he would be attending Easter mass at the Banjska monastery in Kosovo on Sunday (April 8).

Đurić  was arrested during a round table meeting with local Serbs in Mitrovica by a Kosovo police special unit on March 26 and charged with crossing the border illegally.

The incident drew fierce reactions from the Serbian authorities and raised tensions in relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Pristina media have reported that Djuric has been given permission by the Kosovo government for the visit.
