
Serbia and the World Bank have signed an agreements to provide assistance to the government in improving its risk assessment capacities for money laundering and upgrade the operations of the Serbian Electric Power Industry (EPS).
The agreements on providing Reimbursable Advisory Services (RAS) and a donation was signed by Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic and World Bank Vice-President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller.
The World Bank will provide technical assistance to the Serbian government to upgrade corporate and risk management and business planning at the EPS and help with the use of its methods and tools in making risk assessments for money laundering. Those agreements have been signed at the request of Serbia, a press release said.
Vujovic and Muller also signed and agreement on a donation of 1.35 million Dollars to upgrade the financial data system. That money will be secured by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
