
The winner of the 31st Belgrade international marathon was Kristijan Stosic from Serbia. The runner-up was Milos Dajevic from Serbia, while Dario Ivanovski from Macedonia came first in the half-marathon.
Stosic finished the race in two hours, 45 minutes and 23 seconds.
A competitor from Serbia was the fastest among female marathon runners. Nora Trklja finished the race in three hours, eight minutes and 45 seconds. Croatian runner Mateja Matosevic was the fastest female competitor in the Belgrade half-marathon.
The event started on Saturday with 28,000 participants from 72 counries, who competed in three disciplines: 42-kilometre original length, half-marathon, and so-called Pleasure race of five kilometres.
More than 250 handicapped people, and pregnant women and mothers with kids also took part in the races.
At the Ada Bridge, the runners, who crossed the Sava river four times, were supported by the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra music.
