Serbia’s entry in the Eurovision song contest will be played by the musical fountain in Belgrade’s central Slavija square, City Manager Goran Vesic said on Thursday evening, just prior to the semi-final round of the competition.
“The song Nova Deca (New Children) by Sanja Ilic and Balkanika will be played three times in every half-hour music block between 07:00 and 10:00 pm. A live version will be played first, followed by the Beovision version and then the official version. The people passing here will hear the song and that will be our show of support for our entry to go on to the finals and make us happy,” Vesic said.
Serbia’s entry competed against 17 other entries in the semi-finals of the Eurovision song contest on Thursday night.
