The fair will see a total of 1,500 exhibitors, the majority from abroad and the whole manifestation is 10 percent bigger in comparison to 2017, Slobodan Cvetkovic the Novi Sad Fair Director said on Tuesday.
Guests from 30 countries will exhibit their products during the 85th agriculture fair organised in Serbia’s northern city of Novi Sad.
This year’s partner country is France and its envoy to Serbia said the country had taken part at the fair for several years.
“This time we will also present our companies, agriculture manufacturers and banks and will organise seminars,” Frédéric Mondolon told the fair opening ceremony.
Serbia’s Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic said that European Union IPARD funds were now available for the country’s farmers and added that so far 500 of them applied for aid.
