Vucic was on a visit to a western German city of Düsseldorf where he met Armin Laschet, the Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia, the second largest German investor in Serbia, behind Bavaria.

“The trade between Serbia and North Rhine-Westphalia is 620 million Euros and I’m thankful to the Minister President for saying that we can go up to 835 million Euros,” Vucic told a joint news conference with Laschet.

Laschet said that companies from his region that invested in Serbia were all of the high quality and world known, and “when they say we go to Serbia, it’s a good signal.”

“Chancellor (Angela) Merkel appreciates the reforms Serbia is carrying out,” he added, saying Germany is supportive of Serbia’s European integrations.

Vucic said Laschet and he also discussed the political situation in Serbia, i.e. the Kosovo issue.

Asked to comment on a report about a Western plan for Belgrade and Pristina, Vucic said he would once he got something official.

“When I get something in an official form, and if that is acceptable, something we can talk about and declare ourselves about it, I’ll be very happy to inform you and other Serbia’s citizens,” he added.
