The Serbian national football team has been promised a reward of 10 million Euro if they win the coming world championship in Russia.
President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that the authorities have secured record-high financial rewards for the national football team, adding that the players will get 10 million Euro if they win the championship.
“I expect good results. We helped the Serbian Football Association more than ever financially thanks to a number of companies and the rewards will be record-high. Under an agreement with the Prime Minister, I can say that if our national team wins the world championship they will get a reward of 10 million Euro,” Vucic said at a reception for the Serbian football team.
The team was promised 5 million Euro for second place and 500,000 Euro if they get past the group stage.
