Hungarian Foreign Minister in Belgrade

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó discussed energy and infrastructure projects in separate meetings in Belgrade with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

Szijjártó is in Belgrade to attend a trilateral meeting of Serbian, Hungarian and Bulgarian officials on energy projects.  

A press release from the president’s cabinet said that they discussed the migrant crisis and the implementation of joint infrastructure and energy projects.  

A Foreign Ministry press release said that the two ministers singled out energy stability as a priority for both countries adding that Szijjártó voiced satisfaction with the status of the Hungarian national minority in Serbia.  

Dacic and Szijjártó also discussed regional issues and the effects of the migrant crisis in the region.
