A Serb youth was shot in the leg from a moving car in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, the KoSSev portal reported.
The 21-year-old identified only by his initials was wounded in the mixed Serb-Albanian neighborhood of Suvi Do.
KoSSev said that he was walking down the street when shots were fired from a moving car with two people in it. “The youth was conscious and called the police,” the portal was told by regional police commander Besim Hoti who added that the young man was taken to hospital.
Mitrovica hospital chief Milan Ivanovic told the Beta news agency that the youth’s wounds had been tended to and his situation was now stable. Ivanovic said the car the shots were fired from had Kosovo licence plates and added that the local doctor’s office in the neighbourhood had been demolished at about the same time.
