The police of Serbia and the Netherlands arrested two men for possession of four kilograms of cocaine and confiscated 1.7 million Euros, Serbia's Interior Ministry (MUP) said in the statement on Friday.

The statement said they were suspected of drug producing and trafficking and money laundering.

Their nationalities are not mentioned, but media speculate that the two are members of Luka Bojovic’s drug cartel.

Bojovic, one of the most notorious mobsters from Serbia, serves 18-year jail term in Spain for possession of a large number of weapons.

The man identified by initials V.B., 45, was apprehended in Amsterdam, while the other suspect M.P., 35, was arrested in Antwerp.

In a separate report, the Belgrade daily Blic said that the Brazilian police arrested Dragan Ilic, Serbia’s billionaire, also for cocaine trafficking.
