US support to Kosovo crucial, PM Haradinaj says

Speaking during a meeting with US deputy Secretary of State Pete Marocco, Haradinaj said US support to Pristina in the European Union visa liberalization process, finishing the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and integration into the EU and NATO are “of crucial importance to Kosovo and its citizens”, a press release from the prime minister’s cabinet said.  

The prime minister is also quoted as saying that Kosovo has a proven engagement in preventing and combatting terrorism and will continue doing so.  

Haradinaj said he asked the US for support in joining Interpol, adding that membership in that international organization would help Kosovo, the region and the EU in improving security.  

Marocco is quoted as saying that the US administration was prepared to assist Kosovo in every important process it is undergoing.
