Kosovo's Foreign Minister said on Monday Pristina knew in which states Belgrade lobbied against Kosovo’s independence by “selling or donating weapons,” the Beta news agency reported.
Behgjet Pacolli told reporters in Pristina after meeting Kosovo’s Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, that “one of Serbia’s diplomatic centres has been offering arms around the world in lobbying against the recognition of Kosovo’s independence.”
“We have proofs that one of Serbia’s diplomacy tool is to offer weapons in compensation. My concern was confirmed yesterday. We have names of some states, but due to the diplomatic discretion, we keep them for ourselves,” Pacolli, also a Deputy Prime Minister, told the news conference.
He added that Pristina was considering how to thwart that Belgrade’s initiative.
Haradinaj said that Kosovo was facing “huge challenges in its foreign policy.”
“Pacolli and I have been working intensively on our foreign policy considering it to be an important issue. The diplomatic struggle for the recognition spread to the distant countries, while we have difficulties in the region and the Euro-Atlantic integration,” Haradinaj added.
