Kosovo’s top political leaders have decided against any exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia, the Beta news agency reported on Thursday.
Following an unannounced morning meeting in parliament with President Hashim Thaci, Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli and his deputies, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that that they agreed not to trade territories with Serbia.
The ruling coalition and opposition parties are opposed to Thaci’s idea on what he called a possible “border correction”. The opposition has called for a special session of parliament to ban the president from discussing border corrections or division of territory at the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue on normalizing relations. Thaci is due to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels in September.
