Serbia’s state-owned natural gas supplier Srbijagas will provide sufficient quantities of gas for both households and the economy throughout the winter, company CEO Dusan Bajatovic told Belgrade daily Politika.
Srbijagas will secure sufficient quantities of natural gas to meet all needs even if supplies from Russia through the Ukraine are cut, he said, adding that no one expects the supply of gas to stop despite rumours to that effect.
The company has 450 million cubic metres of gas in its Banatski Dvor storage facility and has contracted sufficient quantities with Russia’s Gazprom, he added.
