US Ambassador Kyle Scott said on Monday that Pristina’s decision to impose 100 percent tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina is discriminatory.
Kosovo is one state and the implementation of a discriminatory policy by imposing one rate in a part of the country and another in another part is certainly not alright, he said when asked to comment the proposal by Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama to keep the 100 percent tariffs in place in the north of Kosovo and abolish tariffs in the south.
Speaking at the opening of an exhibition of photographs about the WW 2 Halyard mission to rescue downed American flyers, Scott said that he believes that Serbia and Kosovo are the key to stability and cooperation in the region, adding that Washington supports the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue as the only way to achieve progress.
