The average net salary in Serbia was 5.5 percent higher in September 2018 than a year earlier, the Serbian Republic Statistics Office (RZZ) said on Tuesday.
According to RZZ data, the average net salary in Serbia in September 2018 stood at 47,920 Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars) which is an increase of 3.3 percent in real terms compared to the same month a year earlier.
The average gross salary stood at 66,251 Dinars or 4.9 percent nominally higher than the same month of 2017 and 2.7 percent in real terms.
Fifty percent of the workforce earned up to the median salary, or 37,957 Dinars, the Statistics Office said.
Net salaries in Serbia rose nominally 6.2 percent over the past nine months or 4.2 percent in real terms while gross salaries rose by 5.7 percent nominally or 3.7 percent in real terms.
