After meeting with former British PM Tony Blair on Saturday, Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci wrote on social media that the British politician “fully supports the dialogue” between Kosovo and Serbia.

“I had a great meeting in London w/ my friend Tony Blair. His contribution to our freedom & independence is extraordinary. He fully supports dialogue process for a final comprehensive deal between Kosovo & Serbia leading to mutual recognition & NATO, EU, UN membership for Kosovo,” Thaci tweeted.

Blair’s Institute for Global Change came into focus when Serbian opposition leader Vuk Jeremic said that the former British Prime Minister was negotiating on behalf of Serbia.

The Institute denied the allegations, saying that its project in Serbia has nothing to do with Kosovo.

Soon after, Pristina’s Gazeta Express also published an article about alleged consulting deals between Blair and Albania’s PM, Edi Rama.

Balkan Insight reported a few days ago that the Institute had published a job opening for a senior adviser in Belgrade who is to 'work closely and advise' top officials on governance issues.

The Institute told ‘Insajder’ that the advertisement had been removed from its website because the candidates had been identified, and that the salaries of those employed will not come from Serbia’s budget.
