Electric power price the citizens of Serbia pay is the lowest in Europe and this will not change in the upcoming period, Energy and Mining Minister Aleksandar Antic told Serbian media.

Speaking for Prva TV, Antic said the fuel price in Serbia decreased by 12 dinars per litre.

“It is my assessment that the fuel price will not significantly change in the next several months,” he said.

The minister explained that the heating systems in some cities do not operate 24/7 because that was the decision made by their managements. According to him, the allegations of paying the heating service throughout the whole year are “empty stories.”

“We pay the heating price as much as it costs, and decisions of local self-government allow us as citizens to pay that in 12 instalments,” Antic said.
