The Presidency of the opposition Democratic Party (DS) has decided to walk out of the Serbian parliament, Vojvodina provincial assembly and all city and local assemblies which do not respect elementary democratic principles and procedures, the Beta news agency reported.
The agency said it was told by DS sources that the decision was taken in support of what they said is “an agreement with the people” which includes walking out of parliament. The DS presidency met on Monday, January 28.
DS and other opposition MPs did not attend Monday’s special session of the Serbian parliament which was addressed by visiting Slovenian President Borut Pahor.
DS MPs Balsa Bozovic and Maja Videnovic met Pahor in the lobby of parliament to hand him information about the situation in Serbia.
