Kosovo's lawmakers adopt 2019 budget after a marathon session

The 2019 budget is the largest ever adopted in Kosovo and it amounts to €2.3 billion. The MPs and parliamentary commissions submitted 156 amendments to it.

Earlier this weekend Kosovo Prime Minister confirmed he relieved of duty one of three Serb ministers in the Government after the opposition Social-democratic Party asked for the minister's dismissal in exchange for its support to the 2019  budget proposal.

The Parliament adopted a law treating the organisation and functioning of the state administration and independent agencies, law on civil servants and salaries in public sector.

Kosovo lawmakers also adopted laws on tasks, responsibilities and competencies of Kosovo’s commission in charge of the dialogue with Serbia.

The Parliament adopted a decision of the Kosovo Government on extending the budgetary appropriations for February 2019.
