Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said she is annoyed with the 1 in 5 million protests across Serbia, claiming that they were launched because the opposition has no response to what she said are the positive results achieved by her government.

“There is no talk of results just cursory claims. Serbia managed in 2018 to maintain the fiscal discipline that Aleksandar Vucic introduced as prime minister and that was the third year that we had a budget surplus. Not being able to respond to those results they are going from impotence to aggression,” Brnabic said.

She said that is reflected in the appearance of improvised gallows at the protest in Belgrade on Saturday. “We have come to the point that they are brining gallows to the streets and today, in full combat gear, they threatened President Aleksandar Vucic’s son. It is extremely hard to work in those conditions,” she told the pro-government TV Pink.

The Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry said earlier that the police are attempting to identify the young man who was carrying a mock-up of a gallows during the 1 in 5million protest in Belgrade.
