Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that the 100 percent tariffs on goods from Serbia would remain in place until Belgrade recognizes Kosovo.
Speaking after a session of his cabinet on Tuesday, Haradinaj said that he would never agree to revoke the tariffs despite what he said was pressure and blackmail from Serbia.
Commenting calls to unite the divided town of Mitrovica, he added that Kosovo would not be destabilized. The prime minister said that the initiative by southern Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri to merge the Albanian south and Serb north of the town is a dangerous bargaining over territory.
