European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic said on Wednesday that Belgrade and Pristina decide the agenda and topics in the dialogue to normalize their relations with no interference from the European Union.

Kocijancic told the Voice of America that the EU has always said that the agenda is set by the two sides and does not comment the issues they want to discuss.

Belgrade and Pristina raise questions which they feel are open and then decide whether to discuss them so that they can reach a legally binding agreement on all open issues, she said.

Kocijancic was reported by the media to have said that the Trepca mining combine should be part of the dialogue, drawing reactions from officials in both Belgrade and Pristina.
