
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic voiced disagreement with the Freedom House report which lowered Serbia’s ranking from Free to Partly Free, saying that the report is not sufficiently objective.

“The Freedom House report is relevant to me but I do not agree with it. I absolutely do not think and do not feel that I live in a partly free country but rather that I live in a country which is freer than it was a few years ago,” she said.
The prime minister said she thinks a country is free when its government takes care of the population in the way that her cabinet does, adding that she is at the disposal of all citizens. “I think that is the right way to show freedom and tolerance,” Brnabic said.
She said that Freedom House has a perspective that she does not agree with.
Brnabic said that she had not seen the entire report but would look at it in detail to see what can be improved.
