Serbia's police said they arrested a man from the northern town of Nova Pazova on Thursday for threats he posted on Facebook to Sergej Trifunovic, an actor and the head of the opposition Movement of Free Citizens (PSG) and his brother Branislav, an unofficial leader of the civil protests in Serbia.

The man was identified only by initials, and the police said he would be in 48-hour custody before facing a prosecutor.

Earlier on Thursday, a prosecutor ordered 30-day detention to a 70-year-old man, also from Nova Pazova, who sent a threatening letter to N1 Belgrade, saying their and their families destiny was in the hands of Veterans of 1999 wars.
