Alliance for Serbia leader Dragan Djilas said on Friday that the opposition has joined forces to change the system not just the government.
He told TV Nasa that the Agreement With the People which the members of that opposition group signed guaranteed that change.
“The Agreement is a clear message from the opposition that there can be no elections before the conditions change, that we won’t sit in parliaments turned into a circus and that we want a government of experts not party officials which will enable the change of the system,” the Alliance for Serbia quoted him as saying.
He said the Freedom House report which classified Serbia as Partly Free is not objective because it has become a land without freedom. “That is why we need to fight together to restore freedom and democracy,” Djilas said.
He said the decision to lock up a young man who carried a mock-up of a gallows at a protest for 30 days is scandalous while the people who almost killed opposition leader Borko Stefanovic in Krusevac are free. “That young man is the youngest political prisoner of this regime,” Djilas said.
