Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Friday that the Kosovo Albanians don’t want a deal with Belgrade.

There will be no agreement on Kosovo because the Albanians don’t want it, he told BN TV station, adding that the demarcation idea is not new and expressing the conviction that Pristina will not accept it.

Speaking to the pro-government TV Pink later, Dacic said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not opposed to demarcation. “Putin agreed to that proposal five years ago. I personally spoke to Putin with (President Aleksandar) Vucic,” he said.

“When the West says compromise they mean that we have to recognize Kosovo and we think that everyone should get something they don’t want and if not there won’t be any agreement and our position is completely clear,” Dacic said.

He claimed that Germany and Great Britain are trying to convince Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj not to revoke the 100 percent tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

“Some people think Haradinaj is brave but they don’t do anything without outside support. In this case, America is pulling the rug out from under their feet and they are turning to others. The US won’t allow Serbia to be constructive with things turning bad for Kosovo because that would destroy their concept,” the foreign minister said.
