
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic discussed the Turkish flow gas pipeline with Russian deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov in Belgrade on Thursday.
A statement from the president’s cabinet said that they discussed cooperation in the energy, industry and infrastructure fields as well as exports of food to Russia.
Borisov co-chairs the two countries’ Inter-governmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical cooperation.
The statement said that Vucic expressed readiness to form a joint Serbia-Russia company to produce railway cars.
Borisov is quoted as saying that the results of the recent visit to Serbia by Russian President Vladimir Putin are “far-reaching both politically and economically”. He said that Russia is interested in importing more goods and services from Serbia and in developing tourism, especially on the Danube.
The statement said the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Traffic and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic, Trade and Tourism Minister Rasim Ljajic, Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic and Minister without portfolio Nenad Popovic.
