The 32nd Belgrade Marathon will be held under the “Run, Enjoy, help Someone,” slogan and within the manifestation, in the “Race of Goodness” all those who collect money for solving social problems can join, N1 reported on Thursday.
The promoter of this year’s marathon is a Kenyan Paul Kibii Tergat, a former long-distance runner.
“I’m pleased to be in Belgrade again, where I had exceptionally nice moments, but also a bit sad memories about my sports results. I ran at this unique race in Belgrade for four times when I was the world champion in cross-country competition, but I never won. That’s the only race in the world in which I took part twice and didn’t win,” Tergat said.
He added he thought of Belgrade as his second native city.
The Kenyan won 13 medals fro the world most prestigious competitions and is one of the best long-distance and marathon runners of all times.
