The tenth congress of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) was held in Hrtkovci, Vojvodina, at which Vojislav Seselj was re-elected as party leader.

The congress was held on Seselj’s property in Hrtkovci the place where, according to a final verdict of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Seselj committed a war crime by forcing the local Croats to leave their homes, 26 years ago.

The congress was held in a tent next to Seselj’s house, and it began by playing the Serbian and Russian anthems after which Seselj briefly addressed the gathered Radicals.

The event was peaceful, despite several political parties and civil society organizations seeking to ban the gathering, saying it was „Seselj’s return to the crime scene.“
