
Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Friday that he expects the delivery of two Airbus helicopters before French President Emmanuel Macron visits Serbia in June.
“Two new H-145 helicopters will help improve the efficiency of our police. We are continuin g to invest in equipment for our units because we want the members of our police, especially special units, to have the latest equipment,” a ministry press release quoted him as saying after a joint exercise by French and Serbian units.
The exercise by the Serbian Special Anti-Terrorist Unit SAJ) and French RAID unit was also attended by French Ambassador Frederic Mondoloni who said that the two countries’ police forces work together to prevent arms trade, combat organized crime and terrorism and added that agreements to improve that cooperation will be signed during President Macron’s visit.
