In a meeting with the representatives of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), that this year’s EC report received tremendous media attention and that all relevant political institutions and individuals – President, Prime Minister, ministers, Parliament, Chamber of Commerce, National Convent – discussed the report’s content.

Joksimovic said that despite an overall public impression, the report was generally positive.

Catherine Wendt, DG NEAR official for Serbia, said it was important that the DG delegation came to Serbia since the improvement of the so-far good cooperation was one of the main aims of the visit.
She added it was needed to spend more time in Serbia to get better informed about the European integration and implementation of reforms, adding better exchange of information was also crucial.
