Def Min: Serbia's Army may not be rich, but has combat experience

The Minister was a guest of his Bulgarian counterpart Krasimir Karakachanov Bulgaria’s, Serbia’s and US troops joint shooting drills on Black Sea coastline, Sabla 2019, with a total of over 1,400 soldiers taking part.

That was the fifth time that VS participated in this event in Bulgaria and 130 Defence Ministry’s and VS members took part in this year’s exercise.

“All targets were hit with a minimum of ammunition, all tasks fulfilled, and the representatives of the Bulgarian and US armies have said there is a lot to be learned from our troops,” Vulin, who was accompanied by the VS Chief-of-Staff General Milan Mojsilovic, said.

Vulin reiterated Serbia’s strategic goal was to remain military neutral and that the country would not join NATO, but that it cooperated with the Alliance’s member states through the Partnership for Peace programme.
