KFOR spokesman says ROSU intervened after shots fired at police

“Shots were fired at the regular police after the road to Zubin Potok was blocked and a police officer was wounded. Opening fire at the police and obstructing their operations is against the law. The intervention by the Kosovo police special unit was just a reaction to that violent behavior,” Grasso said.  

He added that “the legitimate Kosovo police operation” on May 28 “had nothing to do with ethnicity”.  

The colonel said that KFOR did not have any information to confirm Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic’s claims that the authorities in Pristina were preparing to take over the Trepca mining complex.
