Serbia to export meat and dairy products to China

By the end of this year, Serbia should start exporting pork meat and dairy products to the Chinese market, Branislav Nedimovic, Minister of Agriculture, said as reported by the Beta news agency.

He also said Serbia and China would sign an agreement of phytosanitary protection.

“The Chinese customs authorities will be issuing permits for importing the products from Serbia,” Nedimovic said.

He signed the agreements on Serbia’s export of meat and dairy products, and a Memorandum on Cooperation in export-import of food products and food safety, with the Chinese General Customs Authorities Deputy head Zhang Jiven.

Nedimovic added that in the next several days, Turkey would open its market to beef from Serbia.
