Serbian police officers will be patrolling resorts in Montenegro over the summer to help their local counterparts prevent crime, an Internal Affairs Ministry press release said on Monday.
Serbian Police Director Vladimir Rebic and Montenegro’s Police Department deputy Director Nikola Janjusevic signed a protocol on cooperation over the summer season which includes the deployment of Serbian police in Montenegro.
The press release said the Serbian police officers will be posted to the police stations in Bar, Budva and Herceg Novi between July 1 and September 1.
“This model of cooperation has been implemented since 2011 and has proved to be efficient with good results in supressing all forms of crime,” it said.
