The Leader of the opposition party of Freedom and Justice, Dragan Djilas, said Saturday he filed charges against an individual who sent him, his family and co-workers death threats via Facebook, adding that threats were directly inspired by Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic and his regime.

“Whom are you dividing into a toothless mob and elite... Do you want me to feed you with metal pellets,” a comment said. “October 5 will never happen again, but March 12, 2003 will. I will slaughter you all... all the women in the house – from the crib to hose underground,” said parts of the message written to Dragan Djilas from a person whose initials are N.P.

The person behind these messages also posted images of them carrying firearms.

The person also wrote that "should you come to this area during Parliamentary election campaign, you'll be taken out in black garbage bags. Garbage collectors will work overtime – I'll call them to come."

The police later said they apprehended the man and submitted him to the Prosecution for further processing.
