Serbian Justice Ministry funding national projects

The Serbian Justice Ministry has handed out a total of 470 million Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars) to institutions and associations implementing projects of public significance.

The funds were collected from plea agreements reached with prosecutors across the country.

The documents allocating the funds were handed out at a ceremony at the National Museum which was given 10.7 million Dinars. The money was also handed to libraries, monasteries and other museums for 150 projects. A total of 181 million Dinars were allocated for 35 health care projects, 142 for schools and kindergartens and 70 million for social services projects. Eleven culture projects were given more than 50 million and other projects for the handicapped and tourism industry got more than 26 million Dinars.

This was the fourth time that the government handed out money collected from fines under plea agreements.
