Serbian meteorologists update heatwave warning

Serbian meteorologists updated their heatwave warning on Thursday saying that temperatures of up to 38 degrees would continue over the weekend and into the next week.

The Serbian Hydrometeorological Service said that the heatwave would continue until Tuesday, August 13, adding that showers and thunderstorms are possible during the night of Thursday-Friday in the north and west of the country and moderate north and northwesterly winds.  

The Hydrometeorological Service also warned of possible health problems for people with cardiovascular ailments.
