Belgrade daily says Fiat planning to build SUV at Serbian plant

Olivier is quoted as saying that the new medium sized crossover vehicle based on the Fiat Tipo will most probably be made at the plan in Serbia along with a renewed Fiat 500L with a new hybrid engine and the Firefly gasoline engine.  

Blic said that Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles is planning to start producing electric models, adding that the it could revive the Fiat brand in Europe with a series of new models such as an electric version of the Fiat 500 and Fiat Tipo SUV.  

Production of the new model could start in Kragujevac in 2020 and 2021, Blic said.
