Serbia’s head of state Aleksandar Vucic told reporters on Thursday that the leader of the opposition Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) Dragan Djilas showed nervousness and hysteria over the case of Direct Media and the state RTS TV, the FoNet news agency reported.

Visiting the Belgrade Emergency Room, he said he did not want to violate the presumption of innocence by saying if any of the four suspects were guilty or not.

But he showed what he said were the financial data about Djilas’ four companies and their growth from 2000 to 2012, adding the firms recorded over 619 million Euros in revenues since 2000.

Vucic said that proved they “controlled everything from cable channels, the public broadcaster, purchasing and selling of TV time” and that the key issue was that the whole system was made in a way that the highest state officials possessed private companies which had the most valuable businesses with state and public enterprises in Serbia.
