The BioBooster plant was built with an investment of two million Euros and is the first plant of its kind outside of the Scandinavian countries.

The ceremony in Indjija, just north of Belgrade, was attended by Economy Minister Goran Knezevic who recalled that Grundfos has been operating in Serbia for 10 years, proving that it is a good country to invest in. The minister said he expects foreign investments to stand at more than four billion Euros this year.

Knezevic said the plant will be made available to other companies in the Indjija Industrial Zone.

Grundfos Serbia CEO Veljko Todorovic said the plant will allow for more efficient production, using less water and helping care for the environment while Denmark’s Ambassador in Belgrade Anders Kristian Hougard told the ceremony that Grundfos is a good example of Danish export-oriented investments in Serbia.
