The biggest wind farm in Serbia was opened on Thursday, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
A press release said that the Kovacic wind farm, whose construction was partly financed by the EBRD, will supply some 60,000 households with electricity.
The Israeli company Enlight Renewable Energies invested 189 million Euro into the 104 Megawatt wind farm while the EBRD invested 49 million.
The Erste Group and Erste Bank Serbia also invested in the project. Construction began in 2017 and the wind farm was given the status of privileged power producer and was connected to the Serbian power grid in July 2019.
