The Serbian parliament increased the Ministry of Culture’s budget by more than 380 million Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars) on Thursday.
The parliamentary Culture and Information Committee decide to raise the ministry’s 2019 budget by 383,758,000 Dinars to bring it to 14,788,267,000 Dinars.
The Committee said that salaries for Ministry staff had been raised by eight percent and salaries for staff in institutions of culture by 10 percent.
Assistant Minister Zeljko Kovacevic said that the budget was raised thanks to a surplus of funds in the state budget.
